Springtime Vintage Card

Hello ladies!

Here I have the card I made my Mum for her Birthday yesterday.

I used Baja Breeze, Rose Red and Very Vanilla Card Stock to coordinate with the Springtime Vintage DSP (from the Mini Catalogue) and Rose Red ink pad for the 'Mum' stamped with the Monogram Sweet Alphabet set and the 'Happy Birthday' sentement on the inside, taken from the level 2 hostess set (Something to Celebrate) from the mini.

My good friend, who shal be named 'Biggie' has helped me also. The Very Vanilla sheet of card has been run through the Big Shot with the Square Lattice embossing folder, and the butterflies are from the Beautiful Wings embosslits die. Both add more definition to the project, and I finished it off nicely with some Basic Pearls.

My mum loved it, therefore I am pleased.

Thank you all for looking :) Xxx

Very Vintage Cards and Holder

Hello to all of the gorgeous people out there! I know... it's been ages since my last post, yet again. But will update more regularly from now on :) honest!

Here I have made a set of 4 cards with coordinating envelopes and a little folder to store them in.

This is a pic of the front of the folder (Apologies for the poor lighting and photography... looks better in the flesh but you get the idea!).

I used the gorgeous Vintage Vouge stamp set for this project, which I absolutly love, along with one of my favourite colour combos: Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive and Rose Red ink pads. The paper stock used is Rich Razzleberry and Very Vanilla. Overall I think the colours work well together.

To decorate the foler I randomly stamped a sheet of Very Vanilla card stock and cut to size, and finished off with cutting some of the stamped images out and stuck them on using dimensionals to make them more pronounced. As you can see from the cards I have used similar techniques but still made all of the cards look different. I finished them off by blinging them up with Rhinestones and Rich Razzleberry ribbon.

The cards fit perfectly into the folder and I decorated the envelopes to coordinate with the cards. Love the finished look of these.

Will be updating soon with some more of my projects. Thanks for looking :) Xxx

Daisy Die

Hello All...

Sorry I’ve not posted for a long time, but I'm back with this little present I made my Great Nana for her 98th Birthday!

I used the Flower Daisies from the Bigz Dies selection in the mini catalogue for this little masterpiece. I simply ran many sheets of Whisper White card stock and inked the petals with Blushing Bride ink pad. The subtle colour complements the white perfectly. I tried using coloured card stock for this but preferred the different tones you get when you ink the petals yourself. I layered them and stuck them together.

I used buttons covered in Dazzling Diamonds Glitter for the centre and added a bit more Dazzling Diamonds on a few of the petals to finish it off. I am very pleased with the end result!

The main trouble with this project came with making the flowers free standing. After trying (and failing) many different ideas I used a couple of my daughters furry pipe cleaners wrapped tightly with Organza Ribbon in Whisper white and popped them in an old nail varnish pot with another piece of Organza Ribbon tied around the top. The pipe cleaners made arranging the flowers easy and the glass nail varnish pot gave the right amount of weight to stabilise it and allow the flowers to stand.

I am overall very happy with this project and look forward to sharing some more you.

Thanks for looking and hope you like it too! :) Xxx

Covered Journals

Here are a couple of examples of the notebooks I covered ready for Mothers Day. A couple I have made plain to pass on as general gifts. Both are using Elegant Soiree DSP - my personal favourite. Of course using a little bit of bling here and there! Used Boho Blossoms Punch and layered the flowers, and the Decorative Lablel punch on the second (from the Mini). Love how these have turned out! Will be making many more I'm sure!

Thanks for looking lovely ladies!
